"Amazing grilled octopus Very succulent and cooked to perfection, enjoyed it with a glass of wine. The service looks fierce but is actually very friendly and caring, always making sure everything is going fine even if you're seated outside. Happy to be back for another octopus meal, thanks!!"
"Lovely waitress, Sara, was very attentive, both times I/we, was/were there. HAD TO COME BACK FOR SECONDS of the POLVO . Both times she was very proactive and attentive, getting me more balsamic glaze for my octopi, checking in many times on me/us and provided an excellent service, experience, efficiency and of course the food . The arroz was very delectable and fresh umami seafood taste . As for the pork rice, the rice was season perfectly, loved rice>pork . No waiting as I/we came at odd hours 3pm+, but the main area was almost full house both times ."
"The food was excellent. Especially chorizo!!! Omg, the taste, the texture was perfect. Pork, steak, and octopus fritters, everything was so tasty! The staff is friendly and nice. The atmosphere is also good. Must try! It's get crowded, you should make a Reservation !!"
"We stumbled upon this place and we were very pleased we did. So much so we went two nights in a row. Lovely ambience eating out on the street. We shared the octopus which was the best l've ever had ... big portion and very true to how they showed it. Diogo was extremely accommodating and described and allowed us to try the different wines and port we had before we bought so it was sort of like a mini tasting. Wonderful experience! And great value and service. Thankyou Diogo, Rita and Rieardo. You guys rock."
"We had a wonderful time at Bulha Sá da Bandeira in Porto. The staff was incredibly friendly and sweet, making us feel very welcome from the start. The octopus was absolutely outstanding - honestly one of the most delicious octopus dishes we have ever had. A lovely place with great food and a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended!"
"So we turned up just before 6pm on a Saturday evening. The waiter explained that he only had one table that was reserved for 7pm. We took it. So glad we did as the food was amazing. I ordered red wine but got white. But the white wine was fine and probably went better with the octopus that I took. The food was out of this world,. probably the best that we have had in Portugal. Octopus rice was great as were out children's meal (steak; prawn pasta)"
"Food was delicious as always. Octopus was tender, bacalhau was tasty as well. Language barrier with the staff, however; they really do try. No reservations so we got sat with a party of 4 randoms, that was fine. Note that they do close on Wednesday."
"Probably the best dinner we’ve had… EVER! Wow, the service and food were both wonderful. The vibe was friendly, welcoming and fun (they give you pens to write a goodbye message on the wall when you have finished your meal). Loved the wine recommendation. Food: We shared various things. I’ve eaten octopus all over Lisbon & Porto but here, the octopus salad starter was NEXT level amazing. I’ll be dreaming about it for days! The pork dish was divine. Even the side dish of salad was beautiful and not just a basic side - it was a beautiful tasting dish in itself. I could have eaten a whole plate of the salad alone and still felt so satisfied. Loved that the food was perfectly seasoned and we didn’t feel anything needed salt. Equally, nothing was over seasoned which we have often felt after dinners elsewhere in Portugal. The chef is a star. Wish we had found this wonderful restaurant on our first night, not our last. GO THERE. You won’t regret it."
